Jan H. Mysjkin

Nothingness

I delve into my memories: nothing,
I retrieve nothing.

I have written, and written, and written.
I have noted everything:
nothing.

The clouds drift by, the river
traverses the plains, the light opens
and shuts.

Nothing,
it leads to nothing.

I note the nothingness so as not to forget it.

HET NIETS

HET NIETS

Ik duik mijn herinneringen in: niets,
ik haal niets op.

Ik heb geschreven, geschreven en geschreven.
Ik heb alles genoteerd:
niets.

De wolken drijven over, de rivier
vloeit de vlakten voor, het licht gaat open
en dicht.

Niets,
het leidt tot niets.

Ik noteer het niets om het niet te vergeten.
