Rozalie Hirs

ecologic [28]

blue acorns fall on the forehead of the night tapping

touched lightly that dumb luck in ever changing shapes

and sizes because words everywhere are glassy scars

on their way to a more refined earth at high speed

butterflies flit past come along to the woods for centuries

to see whether we know how they find their way

or dream of urging grammar into a language

in blood, urine or pheromone for the lifespan of a frog

flying through the air surrender to your surroundings

share everything that is broken trampled more song and names

than you can handle acts of speech torn by lips

in the sense of the bold venture apply ambiguities

to the pomegranate-like excess of a rainbow clear

and more lives move alongside us than we know

ecologic [28]

ecologic [28]
