A YELLOW NOISE AT DAWN

There are days that wake up too early for me
hours in which dawn returns
on the fatigue of the eyes
and I don’t know if it is convenient to wake up

A prayer sweeps over the ceiling
and thrives in darkness like a trembling light

Sometimes the poem
is a foreign language
and the voice does not get used to these mumblings
where impaled gods remind us of their flesh
like fog lost in the night

UN RUIDO AMARILLO EN LA MADRUGADA

UN RUIDO AMARILLO EN LA MADRUGADA

Días que despiertan muy temprano para mí
horas en que el amanecer regresa
sobre el cansancio de los ojos
y no sé si despertar conviene
