LOSE YOURSELF, CHILD

Lose yourself, child
of dough and butter,
red-peel of an
apple, return more and
more flour,
flesh, your
eyes, your heart
melting
formless,
             return here
to your mother’s
mouth.

LOSE YOURSELF, CHILD

Perditi, bimba
di pasta e burro,
rosso-buccia di
mela, torna sempre
di piú di farina,
di polpa, gli
occhi, il cuore
che si sciolgano
informi,
            ritorna qui
in bocca alla tua
mamma.
