SOPHIE FAKED REGRET AND LAUGHED

Better read the heaping of dust in what you see before you,
He who grubs is he who grabs and gains good value,

Proclaim the past, it’s past and gone, it’s said its last goodbye,

Pusillanimous, tendentious, garrulous, loquacious, vacuous, impure
Uncertain, underage, undeserving, unhandy, unseemly, unsure,

Sophie, not keen on her bit-part, banally let fly

Her razor-sharp tongue, white with rage and blue in the face,
Against her palate, lacking any grain of grace,

Wondered rhetorically what the sleuth might learn

With every new victim, faked regret, and tore
The lungs of Miki out of her ribcage, and gored

My heart, now busy with ceasing to beat, Burn

In hell, both of you, and laughed, Silence is coming, too,
Try a sleight of flight, escape the void that beckons you.

Lafhartig, leeghoofdig, lichtvaardig, loslippig, luchtledig, laattijdig,
Onmachtig, onmondig, onwaardig, onhandig, onzalig, onzijdig,
