DIDACTIC POEM ABOUT NATURE
If you really want to get to know natureand nature’s secrets
don’t go to the tarn in the forest
but scrape your hand against a roughcast house
in any town at all
and feel the sand beneath your nails
don’t you shiver then
as you’re burned by the desert’s fire.

Wil je de natuur en haar geheimenwaarlijk leren kennen
ga dan niet naar het bosven
maar krab met je hand aan het pleister van een huis
in eender welke stad
en voel het zand onder je nagels
huiver je dan niet
als het vuur van de woestijn je schroeit

Vill du verkligen lära känna naturenoch naturens hemligheter
gå då inte till skogstjärnen
men skrapa med handen mot ett reveterat hus
i vilken stad som helst
och känn sanden under naglarna
ryser du då inte
när du bränns av öknens eld.
