Yesterday’s Images

A praying mantis on the edge of unconsciousness
raising its axes above the horizon,
gazes at the running clouds,
clings to the tip of a dry grass blade
and sways with it.
 
On its glassy blue eyes are reflected
the horizon in the afterglow,
speckles of a blue,
and thistles trembling in the distance.
Those are yesterday as it was.

昨日の映像

意識を失いかけたカマキリは
斧を地平線の上に ふりあげたまま
走る雲を ながめたまま
枯草のてっぺんにしがみついたまま
枯草がゆれるとカマキリもゆれる
 
その青ガラスの瞳に映っているのは
残照にかがやく地平線
小さなシジミ蝶の小さな斑紋
遠くでゆれているアザミの花
それらはすべて昨日の映像のままだ
