And I Was Going to the Party

I had bought these white shoes
this white suit to go to the party
but my brother’s blood
spattered my pants

And it is too late to return to the shop
and I have no clean clothes at home
and how the red stands out on the white

Surely the party is already in full swing
and drinks are flowing like water

And to top it all
my brother’s blood
has stained my white shirt
here on the breast

YO QUE IBA PARA LA FIESTA

Había comprado estos zapatos blancos
esta ropa blanca para ir a la fiesta
y la sangre de mi hermano
ha salpicado la manga de mi pantalón

Y ya es muy tarde para volver al almacén
y no tengo ropa limpia en la casa
y cómo salta el rojo sobre el blanco

Seguramente ya arde la fiesta
y el alcohol corre como el agua

Y para colmo
la sangre de mi hermano
ha manchado mi camisa blanca
aquí en el pecho
