The Words I Couldn’t Say

You wanted
some words for yourself

I contemplated you
and making an effort
I managed to mutter the ones that weren’t

Now alone
I say them in vain

I close my eyes
and contemplate again
the copper light of the sunset
playing on the shore
of your breasts

My fingers dream
of a path of moss

My lips brush
the water’s back

LAS PALABRAS QUE NO PUDE PRONUNCIAR

LAS PALABRAS QUE NO PUDE PRONUNCIAR

Querías
unas palabras para ti

Te contemplé
y haciendo un esfuerzo
logré tartamudear las que no eran

Ahora a solas
las digo en vano

Cierro los ojos
y vuelvo a contemplar
la luz de cobre del crepúsculo
jugando en la orilla
de tus senos

Mis dedos sueñan
un camino de musgo

Mis labios rozan
el lomo del agua
Close

The Words I Couldn’t Say

You wanted
some words for yourself

I contemplated you
and making an effort
I managed to mutter the ones that weren’t

Now alone
I say them in vain

I close my eyes
and contemplate again
the copper light of the sunset
playing on the shore
of your breasts

My fingers dream
of a path of moss

My lips brush
the water’s back

The Words I Couldn’t Say

You wanted
some words for yourself

I contemplated you
and making an effort
I managed to mutter the ones that weren’t

Now alone
I say them in vain

I close my eyes
and contemplate again
the copper light of the sunset
playing on the shore
of your breasts

My fingers dream
of a path of moss

My lips brush
the water’s back
