Hans Verhagen

PORTRAIT

Man, 21st century
Livid glimpse, jawbone with balls galore
but words
that for far too long have trodden molehills laughing

In his silence he has bought himself a leaden sage
who has also read a single book
that is why the portrayed resembles a dove more
than a more total being

Could fascinatingly wing through enchanted vistas
but prefers to rummage on the ground
and, frequenting people, squander on 2 paws

Portret

Man, 21ste eeuw
