WORK JOURNAL

The temperature on the construction site is only 3 degrees higher than mine.
The river under my skin, with salt crystals, starts
to defect,
to burn.

焱.
Radical: fire     Extra Strokes: 8            Total Strokes: 12.     Three fires
heaped together,
take gallons of our sweat
to extinguish.

Sweat is salty.
Rain is coldblooded.
Tomorrow, the blazing sun I’d rather not to have.
Tomorrow, the cloudless skies I don’t wish to see.
Tomorrow, the temperature rises even higher than today.

A group of ants on the frying pan are still carrying. Steel. Cement. Sunlight.
Among whom two must hold on.
Holding on means, cousin’s father, my uncle,
his cancer cells would grow a bit more slowly.
Our working fast is to buy his cancer’s slowing down.

Our working fast is also to accelerate the city’s growth.
Suddenly, off the scaffold, someone

WERKDAGBOEK

Hoofdradicaal: vuur     extra streepjes: 8     totaal aantal streepjes: 12.       Driemaal vuur
op elkaar gestapeld,
we hebben tonnen zweet nodig
om te blussen.

Zweet is zout.
Regen is koelbloedig.
