As one who finds
A kernel of wheat
Preserved, in the tomb of a pyramid.
Or the excitement of the first
Encounter with Cubism:
It too belongs here.
The journey of the broken

After years
In the tropics,
The beginning of cold.

חזרה
חזרה
חֲזָרָה אֶל יָוָן
הַ'קְּלַסִּית'
בִּגְלַל מַה שֶּׁקָּפוּא בָּהּ.
כְּאֶחָד הַמּוֹצֵא
גַּרְעִין חִטָּה שֶׁנִּשְׁמַר
חַי, בְּקֶבֶר פִּירָמִידָה.
אוֹ הַהִתְפַּעֲמוּת שֶׁבַּפְּגִישָׁה
הָרִאשׁוֹנָה עִם הָקֻּבִּיזְם:
אַף הִיא שַׁיֶכֶת לְכָאן:
הַמַּסָּע אֶל הַשּׁוּרָה
הַשְּׁבוּרָה, הַשִּׁיר
'לְלֹא נוֹשֵׂא'.
אַחֲרֵי שָׁנִים בָּאֲזוֹרִים
הַטְּרוֹפִּיִּים,
הַתְחָלָה שֶׁל הַקֹּר.
