B. Zwaal

the sea jerks

the sea jerks

dominance stares at her

the torn cast nets overflow
with wilted waves

the moon dents
the silvery purified sea
shudders

beats an imprint
of its transience
into her deepest troughs

how much can the sea take

de zee rukt

de zee rukt

overmacht staart haar aan

de gescheurde netten overvol
verwelkte golven

de maan deukt
de zilvergezuiverde zee
huivert

slaat een afdruk
van het onvermogen
tot in haar diepste troggen

wat kan de zee aan

beats an imprint
of its transience
into her deepest troughs

how much can the sea take

the sea jerks

the sea jerks

beats an imprint
of its transience
into her deepest troughs

how much can the sea take
