About these woods, in partibus infidelium,the buzzard is fairly common hereabouts,
where there are outcrops of rock
and where stumps of stones
rising from the ground here and there
offer refuge and protection.

In deze bossen in de landen van de ongelovigenkomt de buizerd vrij algemeen voor
waar hem een vooruitgestoken rots
of een stapel stenen
die hier en daar uit de bodem rijst,
toevlucht en bescherming biedt.
