Loneliness follows wherever the neighbour that lives on the fifth floor is going. Out of the woman’s bloated, sallow flesh, out of her greasy hair, loneliness creeps, shoots forth and snaps the tongues off passersby.

De eenzaamheid komt tegelijk met de buurvrouw van vijf hoog. Uit haar gelige, weke vrouwenvlees en haar vieze haren daalt de eenzaamheid neer, maakt haast en rukt de tong van de voorbijgangers uit.

Singurătatea vine o dată cu vecina de la cinci. Din carnea puhavă şi gălbuie a femeii, din părul slinos, singurătatea coboară, se repede şi smulge limbile trecătorilor.
