Poetry, an adventure of distinguishing . . .

Poetry, an adventure of distinguishing between reality and what is real, an attempt to achieve coherence from incoherence, in the sense of Novalis when he affirms that poetry is the absolute real, el real absoluto.

By affirming, in an ancient alliance, secret relations between the beings and the things of the universe, one affirms the existence of a useless god and the certainty that poetry is a going from us towards the others, a receiver who is the “other of himself.”

Eu nao sou eu
nem sou o outro
sou qualquier coisa de intermedio
o pilar da ponte do tedio
que vai de mim para o outro.*

Poetry, an adventure of distinguishing . . .

Eu nao sou eu
nem sou o outro
sou cualquier coisa de intermedio
o pilar da ponte do tedio
que vai de mim para o outro
