Buddingh’ Talent

Buddingh' Talent is a unique interdisciplinary showcase of Poetry International that returns annually, this year in collaboration with OFFProjects, an innovative dance collective from The Hague. This collaboration during the Poetry International Festival, hosted by Francis Broekhuijsen, offers the opportunity to experience the four promising new voices nominated for the prestigious C. Myriem El-Kaddouri

Myriem El-Kaddouri (1994) is a legal expert and spoken word artist. In 2023, she became the West Flanders Champion in Poetry Slam and has since performed her poetry on various stages. From 2024 to 2026, she is the Letterzetter (city poet) of Kortrijk. Hier ligt de waarheid in overdaad is her debut work.

Roan Kasanmonadi

Roan Kasanmonadi (1995) is a writer, modern dancer, and psychiatrist-in-training from Rotterdam. He was part of Poetry Circle 010 in 2021 and 2022 and regularly performs as a spoken word artist, including at Mensen Zeggen Dingen and Brainwash Festival.  
This year, Roan was selected for the Paris writing residency by deBuren and for De Situatie by PIP The Hague.

 

Elise Vos

Elise Vos (1984) studied Eastern European Languages and Cultures at Ghent University. Additionally, she focuses on mythology, folklore, and cultural history.  
In November 2024, she made her debut with Bolster, and she regularly publishes new work in literary magazines.  
She recently began working as a reviewer for De Reactor. 

 

Maaike de Wolf

Maaike de Wolf is a poet and writer of very short prose. She studied at the School of Journalism and the Amsterdam Writers Academy. She has published work in, among others, Het Liegend Konijn, De Gids, and Hollands Maandblad. She received the Herman de Coninck Prize 2025 for De dansvloer is van iedereen.
