Al Rewaq #32 Poetry International Festival special

In 2016, the Story House Belvédère became a member of the ICORN (International Cities of Refuge Network) on behalf of the city of Rotterdam. This means that from then on the city of Rotterdam annually offers shelter to a ‘writer of refuge’. To this means, we offer a special pension in Story House Belvédère. Via ICORN, Syrian writer Adnan Alaoda was invited to live and work in Rotterdam for one year together with his wife and child. Adnan already lived in Dubai for a couple of years, but had the wish to make a contribution to the European Society. Many friends and acquaintances of Adnan had fled to Europe.

Al Rewaq #32: Sunday June 11th (free entrance)
Various cultural activities will take place such as watching movies, making music, singing, reciting poems and theatre pieces, with many guests, like the Dutch poet Simone Atangana Bekono.
