Geoffrey van der Ven
Geoffrey van der Ven is a spoken word artist and theater maker with a sharp, critical, and activist voice. In his work, rooted in queer and BIPOC identity, he tells the stories that have remained unheard for too long. With his solo performance It Is Not New, he brings attention to the queer history of Africa. He previously won the Poet of the Year Award at the Queer & Feminist Poetry Awards and has performed on stages such as the Nieuwe Luxor Theater, Rotterdam Pride, and Museum Night. Currently, Geoffrey is working on his second solo project Anders ik wel… about queer shame.
