Biography
Carmen Garcia, born in Santiago, 1979, is a cultural manager, sociologist and poet. As founder and director of Plagio, she has developed numerous cultural and publishing projects.
Between 2003 and 2004, Carmen García was project advisor to the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Centenary of Pablo Neruda. In 2005, she won a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue a Masters degree in New York. Her literary work has been honored with several awards, among them the Poetic Creation Scholarship for New Writers, granted by the Pablo Neruda Foundation, and the National Council for Books and Reading Creative Writing Scholarship for New Writers.

In 2004, she published her first book, La insistencia. She won the 2007 Creative Writing Scholarship for Professional Writers for writing her second book, Gotas sobre loza fría (‘Tears on cold china’), published in 2011.
