Halyna Petrosanyak

I fall into dependence from your presence. . .

I fall into dependence from your presence. Fleeing
to where you’re not just extends the boundaries of the effect
of the illness that occupies my consciousness toward evening,
the way a dark ocean wave occupies an abandoned shore.
At high tide the polyphony of the usual day
fades away, the horizon looks like a wound, it grows dark.
At ebb a familiar odd girl looks for something
on the shore among the fanciful objects brought by the water.

I fall into dependence from your presence. . .
