IF YOU DON’T EAT ANYTHING

My grandmother used to say:

if tonight you eat white corn
tomorrow the clouds will keep you company;

if you eat yellow corn
the sun will give you shadow;
if you don’t eat anything
the day won\'t have any color.

SI NO COMES NADA

SI NO COMES NADA

Mi abuela iba diciendo:

si esta noche comes maíz blanco
mañana las nubes serán tu compañía;

si comes maíz amarillo
el sol te hará sombra;
si no comes nada
el día no tendrá color.
