Girgis Shoukry

love

The cloud laughed with the window

then it fell,

removed its clothes:

Look,

they broke in folds upon the bed.

The bed looked after their sleep,

as the sound of  clothes came from the

wardrobe.

The walls transmit to the neighbors

the latest details

and the ceiling invites the sky to

a family gathering.

Hurry:

there’s a big laugh escaping from the wall

we must catch it or else

the whole world will burst of laughter.
