WATER, ASPIRIN, YOU

Water, aspirin, you. The sun burns!
The wind strikes holes into the leaves!
It grips! Time crowing ticks
onto the tympanums!

And bring me, while you’re
at it, an eternal darkness
and one hell of a silence.
Wrap me up and lay me down.

And ask me daily what I want.
Stand dimly lit in the doorway.

WATER, ASPIRINE, JOU

WATER, ASPIRINE, JOU

Water, aspirine, jou. De zon brandt!
De wind slaat gaten in het loof!
Er klemt! De tijd tikt kraaiend
op de trommelvliezen!

En breng me, als je toch
bezig bent, een eeuwige duisternis
en een stilte van heb-ik-jou-daar.
Wikkel me in en laat me liggen.

En vraag me dagelijks wat ik wil.
Sta schaars belicht in de deuropening.
