K. Schippers

things you only need to remember briefly

an ironmonger’s phone number
a healed wound
room 31
a taxi driver’s face
how many minutes you arrived late
shoes you no longer wear
passers-by on a zebra crossing
the voice of a woman who dialled the wrong number
clouds
the weight of a bag
address of a discontinued dry cleaner’s
sound of falling pans
rain puddles
the man in front of you at the bakery
shapes in a kaleidoscope
an umbrella in a waiting room
noise that traffic makes
clipped nails
a hairdresser’s movements
the number of a reserved seat
handshake at a reception
a room seen through a window
soap bubbles
a woman asking you for directions in your own neighbourhood

wat je maar kort hoeft te onthouden

wat je maar kort hoeft te onthouden

telefoonnummer van een ijzerwinkel
een genezen wond
kamer 31
het gezicht van een taxichauffeur
hoeveel minuten je te laat kwam
schoenen die je niet meer draagt
voorbijgangers op een zebrapad
de stem van een vrouw die verkeerd is verbonden
wolken
het gewicht van een tas
adres van een opgeheven stomerij
geluid van vallende pannen
regenplassen
de man voor je bij de bakker
figuren in een kaleidoscoop
een paraplu in een wachtkamer
klank van het verkeer
afgeknipte nagels
bewegingen van een kapster
het nummer van een gereserveerde stoel
handdruk op een receptie
een kamer gezien door een raam
zeepbellen
een vrouw die je de weg vraagt in je eigen buurt
