From an (un)reliable source

December 08, 2021

At the end of another year packed with alternative facts, parallel worlds, and conspiracy theories, we happily present to you some facts of our own. “oh well, facts / you always miss some kind of angle”, Dutch poet Anne Vegter writes in her poem “My Data”. The concept of truth seems to be getting more and more personal; your very own selective pick from any (un)reliable source. Ideology or fantasy; it’s easy to provide any claim to the truth with conclusive evidence, with only a little help from the internet. Fortunately, poets can never be wrong, so enjoy these eleven truthful poems about facts and fantasies, science, dream worlds, and revolutionary ideas, ‘truths that cannot be halved no more’ and a ‘summary of a speech God wrote’, by Ramsey Nasr, Els Moors, Katia Kapovich, Admiel Kosman, Ellen Deckwitz and other poets both prominent and reliable.
