Preview Poëziegeschenk 2026

The title and cover of the Poëziegeschenk 2026 (Poetry Gift 2026) have been revealed!
For Metamorphoses (PoëzieCentrum), Ellen Deckwitz drew inspiration from the watercolor The Great Piece of Turf (Das große Rasenstück) by Albrecht Dürer. For Deckwitz, Dürer is “the master of transitions”: from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, and from mysticism to reality. The cover design was created by Jelle Jespers. Starting January 29, 2026 (Poetry Day), the Poëziegeschenk will be available for free at numerous bookstores in the Netherlands and Flanders with a minimum purchase of €12.50 worth of poetry.
