Poetry dinner with Casagrande

On May 14, 2025, Rotterdam will be the stage for Bombing of Poems. This Poetry International Festival project commemorates the 85th anniversary of the bombing by dropping 100,000 poems about peace, hope, and beauty from a helicopter - 50 Chilean and 50 Dutch works.

On May 17, Stichting Zona Franca and Verhalenhuis Belvédère present a special evening to conclude Bombing of Poems with Chilean poets from Casagrande (Julio Carrasco, Joaquín Prieto, Cristóbal Bianchi) and Dutch authors (Myrte Leffring, Juan Heinsohn Huala, Ricardo Cuadros, Anne Vegter). Latin American music by Winanda van Vliet.

This event also marks 200 years of diplomatic relations between Chile and the Netherlands, with an official toast by ambassador Jorge Carvajal San Martín.
