At the invitation of Poetry International, poet/journalist Merel van Slobbe and storyteller and cultural strategist Carina Fernandes wrote intriguing essays for the website of Versopolis, the ambitious European poetry network that Poetry International has been a part of since May of this year. Under the title Only Brand New Gods Can Save Me, Merel van Slobbe explores the connection between poetry and technology, particularly artificial intelligence. Carina Fernandes portrays the development of spoken word and poetry slam in hometown Rotterdam in How The underground Became Pop Culture.
Enjoy these good reads for the Summer!
