Translation talk dedicated to the Dutch language

The Poetry International Festival often turns its gaze across the border, to the languages spoken by the festival's poets. During this translation program, we invite poets and translators precisely to take a look at the beautiful and interesting aspects of the Dutch language. Through the eyes of our guests, we will show what is so special about the language we speak and the poetry that is written in Dutch.

Michele Hutchison and Babeth Fonchie contribute from their translations (Dutch-English and English-Dutch) and talk about challenges and beautiful aspects of the language and translating poetry. Festival poet Nha Thuyen casts a glance at Dutch as an outsider.

Host: Canan Marasligil
