Poetry International & Verhalenhuis Belvédère present: Oksana Stomina in the People's Kitchen
During this program, Verhalenhuis Belvédère, in collaboration with Poetry International, will pay hommage to the special and sometimes gut-wrenching work of Ukranian poet Oksana Stomina, by means of a reading, a talk and a dinner. The war in Ukraine comes painfully close for Stomina, and in her beautiful series of poems Letters to a prisoner of war she transforms this experience into words and sentences. During this program, the audience will have the chance to better get to know the work of Stomina. Also participating in this program is Daria Lysenko, author of the forthcoming collection I heard that you were in The Netherlands. A three-course meal will be provided during the program by guest chef Ulyana Bun.
