Workshop Collectively Poetic

Although the poet is seen as someone who prefers to work alone, that is certainly not the only way to make poetry. Because during Poetry International this year we are fully demonstrating the power of connections, we are offering the collective writing workshop for the first time. During this workshop, given by poet and theatre maker Ferdy Karto, we explore the creative boundaries of the collective.

Ferdy Karto is a poet, writer & theatre maker. His collection 'Het firmament tussendoor' was nominated for the C. Buddingh' Prize in 2022. He writes theatre for adults and children. He is also a writer of short stories. Karto has directed several short films, including 'Na de sin' (2021). Published poetry in Liter, Tirade, De Groene Amsterdammer, among others. In 2023/2024, he is guest curator of KB - National Library (poetry).
