Dick Ronteltap

In Dick Ronteltap's work, uncontrolled experiments result in connecting creations. On the street, Dick 'jutters' materials which he idiosyncratically transforms into real portraits. He transforms used cupboards, windows and doors into colorful installations of a cheerful reality. He emphasizes the acceptance of this reality, advocates not throwing away the past, but rather elevating it to art of the present. Dick Ronteltap plays his saxophone in an unprecedented expressive and lively manner. His playing, both technical and melodic, makes the soul dance unabashedly.

Dick opens the festival Saturday with a concert on the foyer stage in LantarenVenster, along with bassist Bruno Ferro Xavier Da Silva.
