I devour you

I devour you. You enter me in the silence of poetry, at the same time as everything we’ve already said, with the first glass of wine, and with the second, you enter with questions asked and answers given, with manicured words and double meaning, with your hand grazing my arm as you reach for bread, with our feet touching perhaps on purpose, you enter with the first course, with the second and third, with another glass of wine, with dessert, coffee, and the check please, you enter strolling toward the lighthouse, with laughter and silly jokes, with a kiss and the spicy taste of our lips melting, silent all night. I devour you.
