ELEVENTH. IV.22

You have to dig up the sources.

You have to dig up the sources
and find what is underneath.
You have to dig up each step
and afterwards the trace of each step.
You have to dig up each word
and the absence that each word brings.
You have to dig up each dream
as if it were an oblique continent.
You have to dig up the world
until it's a single excavation.

You have to discover the sources
that were filled in long ago,
perhaps from the beginning.

You have to initiate a new archeology;
the archeology of sources,
total archeology.

ELFDE REEKS. IV.22

Wij moeten de bronnen uitgraven.

Wij moeten de bronnen uitgraven
en die eronder zien te vinden.
Wij moeten elke stap uitgraven
en daarna de afdruk van elke stap.
Wij moeten elk woord uitgraven
en de afwezigheid die elk woord met zich meesleept.
Wij moeten elke droom uitgraven
alsof het een scheef continent was.
Wij moeten de wereld uitgraven
tot ze een enkele opgraving is.

Wij moeten de bronnen ontdekken
die lang geleden begraven zijn,
misschien sinds het begin.

Wij moeten een nieuwe archeologie aanvangen:
de archeologie van de bronnen,
totale archeologie.

UNDÉCIMA.IV.22

Hay que cavar las fuentes.

Hay que cavar las fuentes
y hallar la que están debajo.
Hay que cavar cada paso
y después la huella de cada paso.
Hay que cavar cada palabra
y la ausencia que arrastra cada palabra.
Hay que cada sueño
como si fuera un continente oblicuo.
Hay que cavar el mundo
hasta que sea una sola excavación.

Hay que descubrir las fuentes
que fueron enterradas hace mucho,
tal vez desde principio.

Hay que iniciar una nueva arquelogía:
la archeología de las fuentes,
la archeología total
