THE ANGELS IN KARIS

Walk around in shoes
too thin for February

on the railroad station in Karis
back and forth, smoking

Trains arrive and depart
Tomorrow will be just the same

Snow is falling lightly, glittering
Snow is falling lightly on their eyelashes

They breathe lightly like aluminium
They know about the god-forsaken places

They laugh! Nothing horrifies us as much
as when they laugh

Nothing horrifies us as much
as the godforsaken places

And whatever is red-rimmed

DE ENGELEN IN KARIS

Ze lopen in februari met hun
veel te lichte schoenen

in het station van Karis
heen en weer, ze roken

Treinen komen aan en vertrekken
Morgen maakt hen niets uit

Het sneeuwt licht en glinsterend
Het sneeuwt licht op hun wimpers

Ze ademen licht als aluminium
Ze kennen de godvergeten plekken

Ze lachen! Niets maakt ons zo angstig
als hun lachen

Niets maakt ons zo angstig
als de godvergeten plekken

En wat roodomrand is

ÄNGLARNA I KARIS

Går med alltför
tunna skor i februari

på järnvägsstationen i Karis
av och an och röker

Tåg anländer och avgår
I morgon är alldeles det samma

Det snöar lätt och glittrande
Det snöar lätt på deras ögonfransar

De andas lätt som aluminium
De känner till de gudsförgätna platserna

De skrattar! Inget förfärar oss så
som när de skrattar

Inget förfärar oss så
som de gudsförgätna platserna

Och det som är rödkantat
Close

THE ANGELS IN KARIS

Walk around in shoes
too thin for February

on the railroad station in Karis
back and forth, smoking

Trains arrive and depart
Tomorrow will be just the same

Snow is falling lightly, glittering
Snow is falling lightly on their eyelashes

They breathe lightly like aluminium
They know about the god-forsaken places

They laugh! Nothing horrifies us as much
as when they laugh

Nothing horrifies us as much
as the godforsaken places

And whatever is red-rimmed

THE ANGELS IN KARIS

Walk around in shoes
too thin for February

on the railroad station in Karis
back and forth, smoking

Trains arrive and depart
Tomorrow will be just the same

Snow is falling lightly, glittering
Snow is falling lightly on their eyelashes

They breathe lightly like aluminium
They know about the god-forsaken places

They laugh! Nothing horrifies us as much
as when they laugh

Nothing horrifies us as much
as the godforsaken places

And whatever is red-rimmed
