Scottish poet Christie Williamson contemplates Aruban totem

Earlier this year, Scottish-Mexican poet Juana Adcock visited the first edition of the International Poetry Encounter in Aruba. This fellow poetry festival had a beautiful line-up of poets, amongst which the Curaçaoan Radna Fabias and Adcock, both of whom performed at Poetry International Festival Rotterdam in 2021. Adcock, who was inspired by the festival and its atmosphere, wrote a blog post to introduce this special new poetry event to our readers. Below, you'll read an impression of the festival and an interview with its founder, Aruban-Argentinian poet Arturo Desimone.
