Biography
Ameneh Bajour's poetry shows deep hues of linguistic play with a Dionysian power and passion.  Her poems have harmonic coherence with the music of one line running into the next. Most of her work reveals feminist preoccupations, and is mostly concerned with women's issues living in a traditional culture.
Ameheh Bajour was born in Piranshahr in West Azarbaijan where she also received her qualification in law from Payam Nour University.  She started her writing career in high school when she wrote song lyrics, before writing free verse poems. However, she began writing poetry in earnest once she joined the Persian Poetry College, where in addition to editing Poetry File magazine, she is active in the publications section as well as the management and production for the Poetry College Radio.
