Eva Prevaes is a sign language performer who likes to broach topics others might care to avoid, because they hit too close to home: taboos are not taboos to Eva and in her performances she tries hard to make certain themes (think of the taboos surrounding one’s own body!) open to discussion. Host Alicia Sort Leal will engage in conversation with Eva during the festival and ask her freely about the work she makes and her thoughts surrounding – well, everything really! 

Eva Prevaes is a poet and biologist in training. She lives in Utrecht and travels to and from Amsterdam every day to study live organisms underneath the microscope. She is very enthusiastic about her studies, but also loves to perform poetry in sign language!
