THE ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL POETRY

The 49th Poetry International Festival kicks off on Tuesday May 29, with an opening program in the Rotterdam Theater Schouwburg. From Wednesday May 30 until Sunday June 3, the festival continues in the Rotterdam Theater Witte de With and at several other locations in the Witte de With Quarter. For the forty-ninth time Poetry International brings together the best poets from all corners of the world. In addition to poetry readings in a variety of languages the festival offers films, music, interviews, lectures, meetings focusing on specific topics, and master classes. A carnival of desire, critique, adventure and consolation, propelled by the art of language. Everybody is invited to the annual celebration of poetry.
