Great War

If the barracks die
Won't sons grow out of fathers anymore
What do sons say
That the voice of the speaker on the radio
In the barrack yard
Is the discredited curse on the water tank?
Sleep son without a thought
As a big volcano
Is left behind in the binoculars
In the barrack yard
Under the rented sun
Where is the father?
What do the binoculars say?
That thirty people from one  mother
Are sacrificed in the name of the son
The son crossing what  in thought?
The kitchen chimneys
Or the whores giving birth to boys?
Don't get up the stairs
Little sentinel
What's really going on in the great war
For me to walk past the barracks
Thinking of you
