| sight | ever | gazing | the bars |
| grown | blunt | it sees | nothing |
| seem | to him | bars in | thousands |
| before | no | world | beyond |
| paces | circles | tighter | over |
| move | soft | power | strides |
| like | ritual | around | center |
| there | will | numb | stands. |
| only | time | pupil | shutter |
| draw | quiet | image | enters |
| slips | among | tensed | limbs |
| reach | heart | ceases |
