Woorden Worden Zinnen #66

Since 2010, Woorden Worden Zinnen has been a platform for spoken word, music, and multidisciplinary performance.
Now, under the flag of Poetry International, it continues to bring bold voices and fresh perspectives to the stage. Curated by founders Elten Kiene and Wesley Loos, their upcoming editions promise to be inspiring gatherings of word art, music, and emerging talent.

During the 55th edition of the Poetry International Festival, Woorden Worden Zinnen presented a special finale on the festival’s closing day.
On Sunday, June 15th, national and international voices came together for a vibrant program. There were rhythmic performances by Haitian poet and hip-hop artist Jean D’Amérique, and Dutch performer Akwasi. Rotterdam’s own city poet Benzokarim shared powerful new work, while rising Belgian author Zindzi Tillot brought experimental reflections to the stage. From Latvia, we welcomed Dana Cermane, a deaf poet known for her striking visual vernacular.
Guiding us through the evening were none other than Jennifer Muntslag and DJ Dagger DX as your hosts and MCs.
