Sophia Blyden

Sophia Blyden is a poet, writer, program maker and host, whose work moves between poetry, prose and performance. In her debut collection Dobberen (2024), she explores the space between girl and mother, with a style that plays with fairy tales, myths and pop culture. Her poetry has appeared in De Gids, Deus Ex Machina and De Revisor, and she has performed at venues such as Lowlands and Mensen Zeggen Dingen. Besides writing, she hosts the Dutch Poetry Slam Championships and De Inktaap, works as an editor at Tirade and as a word art programmer at Oerol.
