Soledad Fariña

Soledad Fariña (1943) is a poet who went into exile in Sweden after the military coup in Chile. There she studied philosophy and humanities at the University of Stockholm. Her rich poetic oeuvre was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship (2006) and the Plagioprijs for Artistic Creativity (2023). She participated in the First International Congress of Latin American Women’s Literature in Santiago in 1987.
