Simone Atangana Bekono
Simone Atangana Bekono (1991) is a writer of prose and poetry. Her poetry debut hoe de eerste vonken zichtbaar waren (2016) was awarded the Poëziedebuutprijs Aan Zee. In 2020, her novel Confrontaties was published, which was received with great praise and received several awards. Her most recent collection Marshmallow (2024) won the Jan Campert Prize 2024. Her work has been translated many times.
