Sholeh Rezazadeh

Sholeh Rezazadeh (1989) is a writer and poet who explores themes such as migration, nature, and memory through a lyrical and vivid style. In 2015, she moved from Iran to the Netherlands, where, three years later, she signed a contract for her debut novel De hemel is altijd paars (2021). The book was awarded the Debut Prize and the Bronze Owl Audience Award and was longlisted for the Libris Literature Prize. Her second novel, Ik ken een berg die op me wacht  (2023), received a Special Mention at the European Union Prize for Literature. In 2024, she debuted as a poet with Neem ruim zei de zee. She is a highly sought-after performer and recitation artist.
