Sasja Janssen

Sasja Janssen (1968) is a poet and writer of novels and stories, known for her compelling poetry. Her collection Virgula (2021) won the Awater Poetry Prize and the Johan Polak Poetry Prize. In 2024, she received the Adriaan Roland Holst Medal for her oeuvre. Her latest collection, Mijn vader zegt entropie mijn moeder logica, received the Awater Poetry Prize 2024 in February. In addition to her autonomous work, she teaches poetry at the Schrijversvakschool Amsterdam and at Crea.
