Roelof ten Napel

Roelof ten Napel (1993) is a poet, essayist, and novelist. His work focuses on memory and physicality, and is characterized by both an analytical and intuitive perspective. His collection Dagen in huis (2021) won the Grote Poëzieprijs, for which his earlier collections, Het woedeboek (2018) and In het vlees (2020), were nominated. The novel Over het zwijgen (2024) was nominated for the BNG Literature Prize. Ten Napel's work has been translated and published in international literary journals, and his novel Het leven zelf (2017) was adapted into a play.
