Lev Avitan
Lev Avitan (1996) is a philosopher, theatre maker and spoken word artist. In his work he constantly searches for the interfaces between these disciplines. His poetry and performances balance between vulnerable self-reflection and deep social engagement. With his spoken word performance Mijn moeder wil niet meer leven (2022) he toured pop venues and theatres; the film adaptation of this can be seen on NPO Start. He has performed at festivals such as Lowlands and Brainwash and is currently writing a philosophy book. Together with Nabil Tkhidousset he wrote the performance 7sheb 3lik:rekenen op jou voor Theater Bellevue. In 2026 they will tour the country with this performance.
